A Stranger’s Hands

The body of a young woman is found in a car roof box left for disposal at the waste incineration plant in northern Zurich. Public prosecutor Regina Flint and police detective Bruno Cavalli take up the hunt for the killer. The trail leads to Zurich's red light milieu and a group of men who traffic in prostitutes – and will stop at nothing to protect their business. The more confused the evidence becomes, the clearer is the motive: money. At least, until the second murder is committed – and while it has a lot to do with the case, it has nothing to do with money.

At the same time, Flint and Cavalli try to resist an attraction to each other that led them to the brink of catastrophe in the past and now threatens to throw them off balance again. «A Stranger’s Hands» is a tale of relationships – both the kind that are priceless and the kind you can buy by the hour.

“A Stranger’s Hands” (German: Fremde Hände) is the first case solved by Ivanov’s investigating duo Regina Flint and Bruno Cavalli.

“A book that you’ll very nearly read in one sitting.”
